From Texas to Spain, they’ve hosted festivals and concerts featuring a diverse array of genres like EDM, hip-hop, country, and classic ‘90s. Their first major production put Steve Aoki on a sold-out college tour. Eventually he teamed up with Zach Ruben of Prime Productions back in 2011 to form PSG. With the help of family and friends, he was able to finance and promote the shows. He followed it up with a show featuring Skrillex, and another with Kid Cudi. During his junior year, Lynn brought Deadmau5 to the University of Michigan. This is big news for Charlotte’s budding music scene. This year’s headliner is Zedd, one of electronic dance music’s most respected tastemakers with international hits including “Clarity” and “I Want You To Know.” The lineup also features Little Dicky, the rapper from Pennsylvania who gained fame when his song “Ex- Boyfriend” went viral on Youtube Blackbear, an up-and-coming rapper from Florida Cheat Codes, an electronic music trio who recently released “No Promises” featuring Demi Lovato and Kyle who is best known for his breakout single “iSpy” featuring Lil Yachty. Today, after much anticipation, they announced the lineup for the Octofestival that will take place at the North Carolina Music Factory. ![]() All that was known was the name of the festival, “Breakaway Charlotte” and the group hosting the event, Prime Social Group (PSG). Weeks ago, a mysterious Facebook Ad popped up recruiting music fans to help promote a music festival coming to Charlotte.
